Thats the way the iphone crumbles...

Bakers in Asia are going iphone cookie crazy!! ...thats right, actual sized, eddable, iphone cookies are appearing in specialty bakeries in Japan and China. You can even customise them with personalised App icons and messages. These cookies dont come cheap though, Green Gables Bakery in Japan charges $33 per cookie as each one is hand iced and painted. US bakery, Sugar Beezhas also come up with a tasy iphone treat, the front screen printed onto an icing sheet and placed on a rectangular cookie.

Take a look for yourselves, but try not to lick the screen!

The First Sneak Peak!

Hey all,

So here is your first sneak peak at my project in the screen-printing studio at my university. So far i'm just testing out dyes, pigements colours and fabric choices to see which gives the best results i'm looking for. Ive created some sample motifs and designs to play with while testing. These designs were created with a computer then exposed onto the silk screen.

Hand-painted base fabrics for testing onto coloured grounds.

The bowl matches the swatch!omg!
..just a plain print using dyes and sample placement

printing onto flanelette, cute outline placement.

Testing bright pigments onto cotton.

The development is progressing nicely and if you have any questions about my project
or the screen-printing process don't hesitate to ask! simply comment or message me through the website!
Don't forget about the Jazart Design Studio blog aswell, Check it out!

Pillow Talk

Etsy Seller 'Craftsquatch' has created these polar fleece and applique cushions based on popular social media websites....perhaps too straight forward with the styling for my liking, but would look cute in a study room or office.

i-Cushion

Check out these funky huggable iphone-styled cushions by a Koren toy company, 'Early Adapter'. It's named the i-cushion, and is just one example of how technology crazes are influencing new motifs and trends for real products in the home.

There are mega cute and squishy!
